I can speak English, but when I started learning Italian, I wanted more than a list of words and grammar rules. I wanted to understand the language where it is actually lived: in a greeting, a recipe, a small exchange and a day by the sea.
That is why the journey starts in Scalea. It is a place I know as a visitor and through Appartamento Nemo — a practical base for stepping outside, listening, trying a phrase and discovering a little more of Calabria.
